Most believe marks are everything in life. For them marks are their life, less marks for them is equivalent to death.This is actually tragic to know that for students today nothing is more important than marks and sadly our education system is also promoting this.
Marks are no doubt important, but education is not marks, it’s not giving an exam and passing with good marks. Education is what you learn, not just from your books but from your life too, for our life is our best teacher. Education is not what you score but what you learn. Getting good marks doesn’t prove that we are actually having any knowledge. Marks help us in getting a job according to many, but that too doesn’t entirely depend on our marks.
Education is a tool that enables us to tackle any situation or challenge that life poses. It enlightens us, makes us aware about our rights ,our duties and our responsibilities. Education was never meant to be a burden, but it’s our society that has limited education to a four walled room and books prescribed, which has thus changed education to burden.
Role of education is not just to make you capable of giving any competitive test or exam but to be able to pass the exams that life pose. So, hence, education is not about marks, and always remember, your marks doesn’t define who you are.
